Comfort Dreams are mattresses made by FXI in USA. As I may quote FXI is committed to “taking foam forward to the future.”

Comfort Dreams (Select-A-Firmness) Mattress is memory foam that comes in soft, medium or firm. Let’s dig deeper unto the mattress inner side.

            Layers of Support

As the name suggested “select firmness” you have the option to choose the level of support you wanted.

Soft level has four layers putted this way 2″ 3.5lb memory foam, 2″ 2.5lb memory foam, 5″ 1.4lb urethane and 2″ 1.5lb urethane foam.

Medium level make up of 4 layers and the difference mainly lies in second foam density, which is 3lb not 2.5lb.

While the Firm level doesn’t include four layers the urethane layer was removed and the thickness of first layer is raised. You can choose the medium level to be safe if you’re not into too soft or too firm.

            The Negative Side

Once open you can’t return it more so if you bought if from It has a minimal warranty. Have a fair longevity on average especially with regular use.

            The Price

It is true that for most of us aside from the comfort level we need to consider the budget we have on hand. Comfort Dreams mattress offers affordable products and are considerably less expensive compared to other mattress with the same specification. Price ranges from $300-$700 and differs depending on model and size.

            Comfort level

Comfort level is all we’re looking for when buying a mattress. We always disregard the price just to satisfy our need of comfort. If we’re not satisfied we seek for a more high degree of support.

According to most surveys and reports support near the edge of the mattress may not be enough for sleeping or sitting especially for heavier people. The mattresses have low to moderate weight and temperature sensitive when we talk about the how the bed contours to the body.

Since you have the option to choose the right softness and firmness consider your sleeping pattern before deciding. For most side sleepers the firm models may bring less than the ideal comfort.  If you’re a stomach sleeper medium and firm level maybe the right one for you. In addition Comfort Dreams mattresses are likely suitable for back sleepers.

            Good to know

In general memory foam mattresses are created in a similar way. It is basically made of a layer of memory foam, regular polyurethane foam and urethane foam between 5- 9 inches thick then topped with one or more layers of memory foam then covered with fabric. While the method is basically the same on all brands the difference would be the right amount of thickness and densities of foam which affect how it supports our backs and the whole body in general.

Urethane foam use by Comfort Dreams is an artificial material; the foam can be made to a particular density, which means mattresses companies can transform them in different degrees of softness or firmness.

The foam itself does not have the heat sensitivity and it adjust to fit the user’s sleeping position. That is why it is effective as a mattress.

The information above is based on owner’s point of view and additional research. Some points and feature may be different at time you read the article. As for me I respect and value every reader’s opinion.  You may opt to consider buying the mattress as you desire.
